West to Shobden Airfield

What fabulous weather for a ride on Sunday 23rd June! A group of eight left Lutterworth at 8:15am for the ride west to the Hotspur Cafe at Shobden Airfied, just the other side of Leominster. I was leading (Zoe) with Bryan donning the pink hi viz, as TEC. As always, the second man drop off systemworked really well. It was a somewhat shaky start, as the satnav was set to thrilling instead of fast and we probably saw rather more of Coventry that we wanted or needed!

However, after a quick coffee just to the west of Warwick, we picked up the route properly, and after that it was glorious roads through stunning English countryside all the way. A quick break at the Top Barn Farm Shop, north of Gloucester and then onto Shobden for lunch.

The route back was along the A44, which is a lovely winding road, great for opening up the bike - if the traffic isn’t too bad. Unfortunately we witnessed some pretty bad driving, and then hit Worcester bypass. Time for a quick breather before the final leg back to Leicestershire.

Thanks to everyone who came, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
